Job Description

The A. Britton Smith Centre for Behavioural Studies (CBS) Facilitator- Student is an individual who works closely with the center staff to engage in direct and indirect client services and CBS initiatives. The incumbent engages in assigned additional duties within the context of service delivery, project development and delivery, and research (as applicable).

Key Duties

  • Engage directly with clients of the centre on site (at CBS)
  • Support the development and implementation of behaviour analytic programming directly to clients in 1:1 or group arrangements
  • Receive and implement feedback and maintain clear and ongoing communication with CBS staff
  • Collect, enter, and present behavioural data on client outcomes
  • Some assigned summary writing of client progress – daily service notes required

Skills required

  • Excellent Communication skills with children, adults, and co-workers
  • Strong organization and time management
  • Ability to follow treatment and intervention protocols and collect associated data (as requested)
  • Ability to collaborate with others and work as part of a team
  • Strong inter-personal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 programs – work, excel, PPT, planner etc.
  • CPIC with vulnerable sector screening required

terms of employment

  • Rate of pay: $16.55/ hour (plus 6% vacation)
  • This position falls under the provisions of Student Employees in the Full-time Support Staff Collective Agreement and is subject to union dues.
  • The student must be returning to St. Lawrence College in the Fall semester
  • The student must be in good academic standing and sign a confidentiality statement.
